I remember the day that i got down on my knees

There was a long pause in between
As I looked into your eyes
I saw the happiest tear of your life
It was a tear of joy as you said YES
Everything was just like a dream
Always an I LOVE YOU
A gentle kiss on the lips
And a great big hug as I walked out the door
There was no way I could ask for more
ISN"T WHAT ITS CRACKED UP TO BE
The new has worn off and it is nothing but a big figt
I fight to go to the bed I bought
I fight to hear the I LOVE YOU back
I always think what did I do
Where are the happy days?
Where have the went
All I know is I shoulod have listen to my mom
She told me that LOVE ISN'T WHAT ITS CRACKED UP TO BE

Two stanzas with different themes combined together, it was interesting to read. The ending is different than what one might expect while start to read this poem. Well done.

Very sad. I hope things work out. I really do. Poems like this make me try harder in my marraige. My husband is a Marine just deployed. Sometimes I just want to melt into nothing. Poems like yours make me push to make things right.

I agree with your mom, love isn't (always) what its cracked up to be...some people just don't know how to really love...so they say yes to anyone who asks and then ruin their life...I dunno I guess its just that I'm find that out more and more each day. and the saddest part about it is...its all you guys that are over seas that are taking the brunt of this blow. *hugs* I'm sorry honey. But you'll find someone better, someone who REALLY loves you, and who wont do the things other(s) have.

I think you got dealt a shitty hand in life. You are a great person who deserves what love is cracked up to be. IT isnt always what its cracked up to be, but like I always tell you, Ill keep enough hope for the both of us. For some reason, if i let that hope go, i think my soul will die. So I cant and wont let that happen. Im sorry things went so wrong for you, it just isnt right. You are a wonderful person inside and out, and you deserve the best. And I hope you find it.
