My dear, why do you look so frightened?
I take your hand,
and hold it tight-
a display of love,
not of might!
I only wish
to walk you home,
and my obvious motive
you must have known.
You wore that dress,
with your neck laid bare,
and pushed your hair back,
so all I could do was stare.
And the way you kiss!
With your tongue on my teeth;
you must have known
of the passion I keep.
So as I leave you on your doorstep,
push your hair back one last time
Let me just...gently...kiss...
the neck on which I'd love to dine.
By morning you'll remember not,
and I will have gone on my way.
After all, who would you tell,
when they found your body the next day?
Author notes
I don't know...I just felt like I need to have a rhyming poem about a sadistic vampire date. ^_^ Too many LK. Hamilton and Kim Harrison books, I suppose.
Please tell me what you think

Thank you for entering my contest.
Well, that was...interesting
Creative.
Flow was great, and imagery, superb...but the displays a bit "overwhelming", so to speak....mayb insert some spaces?
job well done

Thank you! ^_^
I was debating the spaces are I was writing it too. I usually put them in, but I thought for this one there might be too few words per stanza to justify spaces. But, since you think they ought to be there, that's enough for me.

Must you give me such a fright?
