Her lips: the hue of blood red when the clock struck nine.
These thoughts I had... I had to meet this incredible sight.
Just that way she wore that rose-colored dress and perfect design.
I walked over to her as she gazed at me with fire in her eyes.
Soon I had realized I had missed my ride within a blink.
She was neither woman nor girl, but rather, a goddess in disguise.
So, I asked her if we could talk over a drink.
We laughed and talk for hours, till the shop began to close.
I wanted to get to know her, but I could only smell her scent.
We exchanged numbers, when she told me her name was… Rose.
I would make sure I’d remember her after the time we spent.
We went to an alley when she started whispering in my ear silently.
She shoved her blood-red lips into mine, and then, I never knew…
What she softly announced to me next, had startled me…
She told of the love she had for me, the truth is… I loved her too.
She hugged me, then kissed me and sighed on my chest for a long while…
Then she told of the love she had for me, like they always do.
Those blood-red lips, turning from stiff to smile…
It was almost time, and she looked beautiful when the wind blew.
The subtle night got violent, toward the rising of the sun.
She shoved her blood-red lips into mine, like they always do.
There was a little noise from the sharp sound of my gun…
When she told me she loved me, the truth is, I loved her too…
Those blood red-lips, and that beautiful pink nose.
She’s one of the many I’ve “silenced”: Many have gone.
And I always loved that name… Rose…
If only I could tell her, how beautiful she looked in the dawn…
Author notes
I am a poet that loves to have a unique ending, either a surprising twist, or just something shocking... I go in all directions regardless... "Love, angst, dark, religious, thriller-fiction" all of them are dandy =P
By the way... if you didn't guess... the guy was a serial killer... and i tried to foreshadow the death of her... even in the title... I capitalized the "R" is rose... and the "blood-red" lips... if u re-read it again u can catch a lot of things =P

Yikes.. very surprising ending indeed. I was carried away with it all, beautiful and then that final twist adding a touch of danger.
