Touching the waters reflection
I must say goodbye. You have
been so much a part of me.
As one, my heart soared above the
clouds. Endless flights, graced by
your wings. White as snow, purity
from within. Untouched by the
evils that lurk.
My transformation is complete,
his love for me rings true. Every
night in the magical garden I would
hear his song. Looking into his eyes,
I know there is no turning back.
Farwell, let my heart now fly with
the clouds above. Love has shown
me a path, that will not bring
me here again.
Gliding from the waters edge, she
takes his hand. Smiling, she accepts
his offer. Never to return as a swan,
under the moonlight dance upon
the lake.

Giving up an old life to embrace a wonderful chapter in a new beginning is spoken of with a quiet magical feel. Being transformed by this new feeling and shedding the image of the past to dance this tempo that has awakened within. Very nicely done and thank you for entering into the contest.
Be well and be blessed,

Oh. This is another nice poem that I have found in featured today.
I've seen this picture before on someone else's so it must be from the contest. I liked your little story poem that you have here and it is filled with so many romantic thoughts and images. I wish I could find a man that would be so dedicated to me. I thought you did a good job with this.

A Fanciful Fairytale
Ah, the tale of swan lake. The imagery was exquisite and I do like how each like was broken up to shift the emphasis. If I am correct in assuming the poem was inspired by the art, then I believe you did well. -
pretty! nice job on this write!

That spoke volumes to me, the sweetness of it amazing. The moonlit dance of life. -
This poem saddens and elates at the same time.
But also leaves a question.
What is the hidden meaning?
Is it that the swan is now in love, and to lose her delicate wings.
Perhaps!
A wonderful verse from a very nice lady.
I hope your happiness is true!

Very nice...I think that's the best I've seen in quite a while. So descriptive and beautifully worded.
One of my favorites, most definitely.

Good
I believe it was Emerson who wrote..."The heart, like the mind hath its own memory, and in it are stored all the precious keepsakes." In the end, all we have left are our memories. See them for the treasures they are.

Wow, the images in this story is extrodinary!
I am impressed with the amount of detail one could get from just a picture.
Great Poem! I have read it twice now.
