Four Little Letters-LOVE

The expressions I see and feel each day
will be forever etched in my mind
the meaning of love
when the sun shines bright in my window each morn
It envelopes me with love and light
and I feel the warmth of love
as I awake and see my stepmothers face
I see love that will never leave me
when my little sister asks me each day for advice
I give love through my words
when I hear my fathers voice each day
guiding me with encouragement
I have been taught love
when I rest my hand upon my mothers growing belly
I will soon give love
when I strum the six golden strings of my beautifull guitar
I am creating love
and as I watch my parents as they embrace each day
I understand love
and as I say my prayers each night
I know I was born to love
love,love,love
that is taught to me in every way imaginable
and I learn that love is the most important gift
to be blessed to have been bestowed into my life
so yes
when the word love is mentioned to me
I am fully aware
the true meaning of four little letters
L O V E .

    Ahh, great piece you got here and I really admire how the piece was generally about love and not about those boyfriend-girlfriend kind
    In the first few lines, it kind of made me not interested to read on but when I read on, I was envelop into the real meaning of love; definitely like how you went in-depth to that ^^

    that's beautiful to see someone knows and sees love outside of with the opposite sex. love is around us in small and big ways from parents and siblings to girlfriends and boyfriends. great job and thanks for entering!!!!!

    This is definitely different. I like how you just spoke about it in general instead of about a boyfriend or something because that isn't all love is. This was a pretty poem. Thanks for entering it!! Keep it up!

    Awww... this is such a sweet, bright & inspirational poem! Emotionally, I can relate to this A LOT (I think many can!) and that's a good thing!
    My fiance is coming on Sunday and I cannot wait! I can feel the love, the big anticipation and the poem has reminded me of that. Well done! You captured the essence of love.

    It really is a pleasure to read all the new idea's of what each person see's as uplifting. for what may not be to one is a joy to another. And what one see's nothing into through anothers eyes they see the world. Life is so full and vast that we can not in one grasp it all. Or we would no doubt burst.I thank you for the read.
