green lawn forgotten
in front of a house
lost in entropic decay
sweet fragrant summer grass
usurped by conquering hordes
of weeds with blades tendrils
thorns roots
greedy for life
in league with a man
uncaring unkempt unfeeling
never needing
except to be left alone
he revels in disturbing
disarray of all around him
social barrier surrounding his world
an elaborate stage
with breakdown and deliberate
befouling, players
acting out grand dilapidated
performances to keep others at bay

Wow...I can relate to this...and have done it, perhaps not intentionaly..after a divorce..It gave me the perfect excuse (to myself)..for not inviting "guests"...lol

The first half of this was simply flawless:
green lawn forgotten
in front of a house
lost in entropic decay
sweet fragrant summer grass
usurped by conquering hordes
of weeds with blades tendrils
thorns roots
greedy for life
in league with a man
uncaring unkempt unfeeling
It left me with a dropped jaw.
Great job really
Thanks for entering
Goodluck.
