I saw a wink in a demon's eye
As I lay weeping in an ivory cell.
Deep beneath my tears, unleashed,
Hate had come to claim its seed.
Out the shattered prison wall
I forged from nothing a kingly game.
My targets were in bliss defenseless
And of their souls I would make cinders.
The gray of my eyes scorched into blood
My steps disheartened the hardest men.
A barren corner broke my frantic stride.
First, I'd take this child ere I felt again.
A glowing boy just shy of seven years
With warmth breathed a "Hello, Sir."
I gazed and spread my deadened lips
And through me screamed a devil's curse.
Black consumed all but my fiery light.
My seed, collected, lay as a lifeless stone
Beside my shattered shell of flesh.
My soul dried and whithered in my grave of blood.
The devil's toy and wretched slave
Was how I gave my life to hate.
In negligence of a tranquil spirit
I'd destroyed my only light, my silenced son.

There is an amazing level of honesty. insight and depth in your words that makes me wonder what your experiences in this life have been. I understand that that ability is found in the exceptional writers.
