We all dress in green,
Ready to celebrate this wonderful day.
A day that celebrates our people,
and celebrates the life of a wonderful man.
I get my Irish heritage from my dad,
His family is very much Irish,
Now my mom,
carries only a wee bit of Irish blood in her,
She does have it though.
Now for me,
although I do not have a hundred percent,
I still gladly and proudly celebrate my heritage.
So when my family gathers,
We'll talk of St. Patrick
And of the great things he did.
We'll sit around,
We'll eat the corn beef and carrots,
The cabbage and potatoes,
All cooked to a wonderful perfection.
Please tell me what you think

Erin Go Bragh!!!!!!!!!!!!
AG, My maiden name is Sullivan and I am proud of my Irish heritage as well. You just filled me with lovely imagery as I was reminded of so many St. Patrick's Days past. My mom isn't Irish, although you would never know it when, she danced a jig as though she were. I grew up listening to the songs my parents played. I would like to wish you a belated Happy St. Patrick's Day and say thank you for sharing the gift of your pen here. I hope the wee folk enjoyed and I'll toast a green beer to yer. Love and God bless, Joyce

Wonderful! Happy St. Patty's! I only have about 1/2 Irish blood myself, but it's marvelous to celebrate, isn't it?

Eire gaeo bragh!
Pardon my atrocious spelling.
Have a nice afternoon, and a better evening. Try to chill and enjoy the weekend. Stay away from drunks and abusive people.
G-d bless you.
