Still There

Missing image
Somewhere beyond the rainbow,
In a watercolour sky,
Her lovely face you’ll picture,
In clouds as they pass by.

A mother's love is special.
And, though no longer by your side,
Even now, she's looking down,
Her heart still filled with pride.

You'll always feel her presence.
She's just a thought away.
She'll still be there, to take your hand,
should troubles come your way.

Your mom will walk beside you,
No matter where you are.
She’s just stepped into another room
And left the door ajar.

I loved this so much. Although my relationship with my own mother is a little rocky right now, I can still feel the powerful love and truth you've woven into this piece. One of my favorite songs too lol! Very clever. Thanks so much for entering, keep up the amazing work. You are talented!

This poem is very touchingly written and though not necessarily happy, it does comfort. It has a lovely flow and the images are very intense.
Thank you for entering this in my contest.

    Beautiful

You poem is liquid beauty as the words just flow from one to another. Good imagery, very good content, and the rhyme is good. Worthy of the Gold in my opinion, but then I'm not a judge. Keep on writing.
