Lidded Love - A Rondo for Eyes and Eyelids (Contest)

Missing image
"Hello my bright-eyed Viola ..."

Whispering half-moons of love's wings
touching upon the curves of suns.
Inquieto.
Shrouds of whispers addressing sight.
Imitando.
Paying respect to shimmering silence.
Oh, intonation of fluttering song!
Con arco.
Falling outside ... such shivering night
draped within its silver cloak
of rain ... though hearts aglow
within sweet warmth and sensual stroke.
Legato.

Whispers return glance of belong.
Moons making music. Soft dove-gray sounds
of auditive shades.
Mesto.
Eyes carrying the flutedness of tears.
Lamento.
Soft friction - foreverness
of tender togetherness ...
Infinito.

Shields hiding orbs of droning dreams.
Soft sounds of souls dissolving
within sleep.
Sfogato.
Love slowly closing and concealing;
shells protecting sparkling pearls
shutting out horizons of humming minds.

"Sleep well, soft fingered sight"

Pizzicato.

I love the musicality of this. It is so tender and simple. The last two lines are my favorite because it made me sigh in the utmost contentment.

the words chosen, the verses crafted, the
    meanings spoken with melody.

"Falling outside ... such shivering night
    draped within its silver cloak
of rain ... though hearts aglow
within sweet warmth and sensual stroke."

    Dear Myra
You play each inuendo of the eye as the composer intended, each glance, each tear connected to the inner self and the music of the spirit. How oricinal are your thoughts to create such a piece. It flows just as your piano keys are guided by the aesthetic outpouring of the heart, unrehearsed, a jam session of the mind, the music inspired by God. Very very beautiful and unique, an exquisite piece.
    take care

Is exquisite the right word here - perhaps it is not powerful enough. As usual you have a unique approach to verbal expression which is joy to read and marvel at. "soft sounds of souls dissolving" - I like that.

    best wishes

excellent & a pleasure to read

I agree with Jen, Myra. Not only are your words amazingly beautiful, but they linger long after they are read. I'm still stuck on your piece titled "Portrait of a Dove...and a Sailor" LOL This is wonderful and your word choice and images created are outstanding. Good luck on the contest You are always a winner in my book...
