Two worlds in one mirror

On the floor,
she sits and stares-
into space- an insight to her
dreamland. The place where she can
always escape to.
Surrounded by
pins and needles.
Blades and scissors.
She picks up a needle
and drags it across the skin
- the flesh.
Pain is written across her arm.
Literally.
Boldly it bleeds.
Unforgivenly it scars.
Forever and always
the reminder
burns, blisters and bleeds.

In the mirror- I watch in amazement.

Nobody knows her.
Nobody cares.
Nobody cares- for her.
She's the girl with everything.
On the outside.
Inside- she bleeds as violently
as the pain
thrown across her arm.

In the mirror- I watch in amazement.

Her presence is unknown-
a secret burden
that she shares with me,
by default.
Our lives divided
but stuckfast together.
What's her's is mine,
different name
yet, it's all the same.
What's her's is mine,
and now, she's started to mind.

In the mirror- I watch in amazement.

    "Nobody knows her.

    She's the girl with everything.

    Inside- she bleeds as violently
