Colorful eggs in pastel shades
each represents another chance at rebirth
another change to say I'm sorry
or change the way I react to things.
It has a bunny that is true
but not of chocolate, rather fur
to remind me to exercise outside
to soothe my body and my soul.
Jelly Beans in rainbow colors
remind me to never judge another
just by color but enjoy
a kaleidescope of friendship.
A special treat hides there too
reams of paper pink, yellow and blue
with pens of colors, fun to use
a place to record my dreams too.
All inside a wicker basket
to remind me to take along
the lessons I have learned.
Easter grass is soft and new
offering me a bed on which to renew
my heart so badly hurt this year.
It looks like any basket you've ever had
but it hides special meanings just for me.

your poem is full of imagery but then if you only re-read your poem you will find that there are some words that were mispelled. if this were given attention before you posted it perhaps it will be more interesting for the readers and will appreciate more of your poem. goodluck in the contest.
