War

Looking through the times,
between the bombs and mines.
Arms in a race for war,
not a thing we can adore.
Killing in front of ones child.
Bodies scattered within miles,
Guns firing,
Soldiers clattering,
Explosions tossing,
As people are crossing.
A shot in the head
A man lays dead,
Another soldier gone
They’re sure to play a song.
Moms will cry,
as more will die.
Its seen before,
were sure to see more
of this thing called war.

Please tell me what you think

    Welcome to Allpoetry

A very good poem, almost like reading the daily newspaper! you have written of the many negative sides to the results of war... it does make us wonder will the earth ever be a place of true peace and security. The layout of your poem is pleasing to the eye, well done!

I do encourage you to keep up with your writing.
