When War comes out to Play
Bombs exploding in the distance.
Soldiers robbed of their resistance.
Happiness seemed so far away.
Memories of Family refuse to stay.
And rage and Hatred comes out to play.
Bang, with that, a man lay beside me
Anger boils, and is tossed out to a man who I don’t know
He’d dead on the ground with the final blow
Of a series of bullets
My sanity
Being locked in my vanity
Fades
Slowly away
And battle roar and pain
Comes out to play.
My eyes don’t see my family.
My thoughts don’t drift upon happiness.
Blinded by rage,
Locked in a cage
of evil and fear.
‘Please bless my soul, please keep me here’
The solider prays,
Another shot and he sheds not a tear
No guilt
No fear
Nothing’s sane in his mind
Locked in a gate
Of hate
Be that as you may, hypercritical
And the devil came out to play
BANG!
The pain
Coursing through his veins
Allowing the thick, red liquid its freedom
Black
Nothing but Darkness
Whispers of the souls
He took from their hosts
Pain filled guilt
Filling the subconscious mind.
Rage is hard to find,
But sympathy is everywhere.
The cries grew.
The wailing too.
The things he once knew
Flew
From his mind
It was fate,
And the flames…
Came out to play
Please tell me what you think
