beautiful words and flowing verse
a gift from the gods to mortal men
you're painting pictures with artful lyrics
our breath taken with your great flair
gentle ballads touching precious hearts
sands, time and water of an old stager
fertile works of brides and kisses
harvests of roses and friends
most genial past-master sing our tunes
hearten our days with proud old songs
as beauty stems from skilled lips
you're a rocket man and this is your song
i hope your angels don't mind
that i put down the words
thank you for your music
shooting star in perfect harmony
live your life following your talent
bravely to wherever it wishes
dark lonely crevices
the mountain peaks of fleeting successes
a voice as polished as a perfect stone
with your blue eyes and kindled candle
what i'm trying to say
i'm still standing, please don't ever fade away
