Despair

Thank you for watchin’
As I lost my soul.
Ever since then,
I haven’t been whole.
Thieves of hope,
Of life, of dreams
Nothing is what really seems
See the noose, taunt the rope
Choking on my meager hope
No more light
No more joy
Once so bright
I fell like Troy.
Overwhelmed, an amateur
I caught fire, burned for sure;
The deceit was base
But what really hurt
Is how away I waste,
No more with friends to flit and flirt
So sad, alone, rejected here
I await, as falls another tear
My voice calls
No ear heeds
The rain falls
My heart bleeds

Author notes

This is a poem about hopelessness. This is about the moment in my life that I felt I would never know hope again. I just want to tell all of you, Hope is always there; in a butterfly, in a snowflake, in a child laughing.

Tell me if you understand it or felt the emotion.
