I wish

I wish I knew the words to heal my heart.
I wish I knew the words to unbreak my heart.
I wish he was laying next to me telling me he loves me everynight.

I wish he didn't have to go thousands of miles away from across an ocean to a war not yet broken.

I want him to be safe.
He tells me he will.

But I still worry with such dread.
I wish I wouldn't so than maybe things would be easier.

I love that man more than I can put into words.
More than the poet I am could ever write.

He's my heart and my soul.

My one and only forever he's the only one for me.

Cause he makes me feel special with just one touch of his hand.
I just wish he didn't have to go, and was here with me.
