Moss
covered
stepping stones
across the stream
of forgetfulness,
frigid fragments of dreams
sustain a fragile balance
to the green fields beyond the flow
of the increasing current of fear
that collapses as you advance forward.

In South Mountain Reservation very near where I live there is such a stream, and your etheree brought the scene of that stream, as well as my fears since a kid in crossing it very much to mind.
I love the image and the sentiment of this poem, which for me felt to say to fears go--They will disappear once you have challenged yourself to face them.
Good writing and best wishes to you in the contest!

I've written a couple of etherees... I'm impressed you could pop one out so quick. lol. Those bad boys take me forever for some reason. The last line was a joy to read.
