My head pulses
with the shouts, songs, screams
how I wish I had chosen something different
that is now but a broken dream.
It is a sweltering day
in the middle of May.
It feels to me
as if the bus
is sweating.
The same sqeauqy doors
open and close
and chidren jump up
from their neat rows
of seats.
Never a 'thank-you'
a 'hello' or 'goodbye'
oh, I would kill
for a turkey on rye.
Being a bus driver
is harder than it looks.

I could think of some worse jobs but about now any kind of employment would suit me as I am desparately unemployed. Good luck in the contest.
