One face,
among millions of gray.
A trembling body,
she feels faint and
scans for an exit that isn't there.
An invisible cry for help
to get her out of this sea,
encroaching closer, closer.
She must get out before
the water engulfs her, forever;
before it suffocates.
A girl unseen,
surrounded by fear.
Where is the light that will set her free,
set me free,
free to be.
