And being alone among ourselves,
We find not peace but solitude for sure,
I crave not for solitude,i crave for company
While a misty morning awaits us here,
To find us drowsy over sleep,
And yesterday's pleasures of a journey,
Upon a path trodden by ancestors great
And a sunrise worth a million views,
That never found us waiting,
And left like a mistress, dejected,
Upon her lover's betrayal,
We found her again, through the eyes,
Of another watcher, equally charmed,
I have but passion that even in my dreams,
Could be unmatched yet so evitable,
That i was to find solitude that i craved not,
In the hills, so near, so close,
And love it still like a poet,an artist,
To paint it with these words.
Author notes
I wrote this poem after me and some friends went to the hills of Nagarkot for its famous veiw of the sunrise over the Himalayas. We overslept and could not see the sunrise and later watched it on the wiew finder of a tourist's handy cam. I used words like "ancestors great", because Nagarkot was the place where King Prithivi Narayan planned an attack on Kathmandu a few centuries back. "In the hills, so near, so close" was because the place reminded me so much of Darjeeling, my home town.
Please tell me what you think

Amazing Write
Hey my dear this is quite an impressive piece of poetry. Your imagery was super and the flow was great.
Something worth waiting for was still not seen when it was available... don't you think in life we let things slip out of our hands if we didn't keep alert or awake at the right time. Just a little comparison or philosophy.

Your imagery was spectacular, excellent penning. A talent you are I see, so pleased you stumbled upon my work...so I could stumble upon yours
Lovely and my pleasure to read once again

Wow, this is such a great write. It is really touching and wonderful. I love the beginning the most where you say "I crave not for solitude, I crave for company." I really loved that line. Great write.
