Brings many memories,
Some lined with pain.
I miss your crooked little smile,
When you came to work,
I knew the day would be worthwile.
The way you made me feel inside,
The laughter and fun,
Bad moods aside.
I see you in my memories,
The way you used to laugh,
And tease.
I picture you in my mind,
The days before,
You left us behind.
I see you walking around,
The way you were,
And the way you looked when they put you in the ground.
I miss my worker,
I miss my friend,
But most of all...
I miss you Glen.
~In memory of Joshua Glen Holder~

Author notes
This is about Joshua Glen Holder, a friend of mine that got killed in a car accident. I miss him so much. I just can seem to get him off my mind. I keep picturing him like the way he was and the way he looked in the coffin. It didn't look like him. It just seems so unreal. It doesn't really feel like he's gone, but I do know that I miss him sooooo much!!! Today at work I thought I saw him pass by on the way to clock in, but it was only Jesse. Everyday someone or something reminds me of Josh and I just sit there and think about him. I know that God took him for a reason, but its hard. I can't wait to get up to Heaven and meet God with Josh.
I love you Joshua!!!

I'm glad you liked this poem. lol But I think you misunderstood. This is for my fellow co-worker and and student who died in a car accident. Thanks for your offer. I really appreicate that. The only thing I can think of is keep praying for our soldiers and keep them in your thoughts. I hope that you keep in contact.

This poem was great, although hard to read with the background and color of the text. The rhyme scheme is fantastic, and none of the meaning was lost because of the rhyming. Beautiful poem full of loss, and hope. Beautifully written!

i don't know you but i know how you feel, Josh was a very close friend of mine to. My uncle coached him in little league, and he used to hang out with me and my uncle. My uncle spoke at his funeral. I miss him to and i think about him all the time. Its hard to believe that he is actually gone.
