An avenger's heart
is not as black as it looks.
We shoeshine it with our spit
that forms dark words
that we swear to keep
but often can't
An avenger's heart
has no room for love-
but we find it often does.
Then they die
and we sink all the more.
Why was I destined to live on alone?
Kaji killed my race
Itachi killed my clan
sillhouettes alone against the darkening sand
as the blood now buried boils over
and calls out to us to avenge
shuriken and spinning steel
kunai and claws are all too real
blood is mingling in the dust
we're the only ones we trust
but oft we find it's badly placed
and give up hope, despair, disgraced
and turn our souls to blacker things
from which we never gain our wings.
So sink we now in living hell
we'll drag you down with us as well
if we must go, we'll take you all
we alone won't make the fall
These hands that killed a thousand mortal men
now turn their bloody digits to paper, ink, and pen
sifting through dust and tales yet to tell
trying to find the unbreakable spell
to capture their reader and bring him to battle
to slaughter the townmen and plunder the cattle
along with those hands, to the elbow with blood
and stained with a conscience that forbodes no good.
Uchiha's eyes combines with vengeance's thirst
by blood and sorrow I am ever cursed
red above white, all on a back of blue-
I wear, and will avenge it soon.
Why, my brother? Why did the weasel
steal away my family?
Come back to me
and I will give you a taste of power
as you have never felt before.
All things Itachi I abhor.
From blood I was made, and to blood I shall return,
a warrior's death of honor I would never spurn
but that fate was not cast in the lots for me-
only a burial of ignominy.
Watching nine-tailed fox and Jonin's might
wishing that my hands could join the fight
but they are covered with a dark-sealed flame
I will return to he from whom it came.
the darkness swallowed me
the darkness followed me
power came at the cost of evil
I took that price
but my soul fell in the lots as well
I took that price
I came out of it
but I shall never leave it till he dies
we are different
yes, that I know
and to think that once I loved you so
those ties were broken, battles fought and won
and yet you truly are Uchiha's son
twelve signs twelve men once took my life away
one man one curse carried off my family
~we are one~
~yet we were never one~
~avenger's mystery was here~
~pass on~
