Imparted portrait of love

Crimson fades gray,
as an empty tear falls
from the cracked canvass
of a pillaged soul.
Frozen by the  damp shadow
of a wilted rose,
in a long forgotten vase.

I like the metaphor of a dying rose to fading love, or did I just imagine that? I love your word choice: cracked, pillaged, damp, wilted, forgotten. They all just gave such a hopeless feeling to this. But, I'm not sure, but I believe canvas only has one "s". Anyways, great job.

The imagery strengthens the emotions of this poem. A very strong piece, all the prose flows logically and it is well written.
