colonnades of clouds
to God's window
see what falcons see:
sky's elephant greys buffalo blues
seagull oceans
meadows of sugar cane fields
golden lion sun leopard cliffs
brown baskets and beadwork
green with sounds of louries
slumbering hippo soil of silent crocodile
ochre echoes ezulwini valley
amber hearts of ngwenya glass
culminant candle:
oh star of africa

Author notes
Culminant candle -- metaphor for the Cullinan Diamond, from which the "Star of Africa" was cut, the latter being in the center-front of the Imperial State Crown of Great Britain.

I really must learn more about your native land. It would be a most interesting study in how evironment and culture and genetics make us what we are. Your's is obviously rich in color and detail on all counts. Congratulations on the trophy.

The palet of creation is stunning, isn't it? Its original splendor will soon be restored. I can barely wait to fly over it like a falcon. I know seeing all that beauty will overwhelm me, like nothing else in this life has ever done. Thank you for creating and sharing, angel and congratulations with the reward! Ack,
Chris
