A bit of patience spiced with swallowed pride
A dash of humble modesty inside
Fairness, equality, and equal sexes, foremost
Also recognize all that poverty hosts
The Earth’s best interest dwells in emotion
It dwells in hope, love, and canine devotion
To the principles of waste not want not and free love
Devotion to what we discern from above
In reality we must pay heed to what shines
No amount of free love will upset the times
No goody-goody thinking will offset the crimes
Saints and demons are humanity defined
In retrospect, we all inherit this Earth
It is our duty to make it more than water, fire, and dirt
Think the next time before your own crime takes place
Where will this put me between Hell and God’s place?

This blew me away. I'm guilty of reading through things too quickly sometimes (ducks head) but by the third line, I was completely blown away. You have such an amazing grace with the way you write. Just wanted you to know!

Great poem, and it is surely up to us with each decision that we make. Wonderful job.
