Vision so nearsighted to the core,
seeing angels and beauty,
even in threatening shadows,
trust a frail garment constantly worn.
Till someone hands their specs of reality
forcing eyes to drain of their illusion,
temporarily blinded by the painful gaze,
then sanity of passion
returns to one's rose color soul
finding the real treasures lost
and innocence revives in spell
as a childlike heart grows to blend
trust and wisdom,
never giving up on the world.

i think we all need a pair of rose coloured specs from time to time - you have taken sight/vision and seeing as a good metaphor - i liked it

A childlike innocence is such a delight to see in a person. I feel we can all still experience this within the right situation.
