So white the clouds of day
And blue the sky over all
So red and trembling her eyes
Triangles of red, white, and blue
So brown the wood and gold a trim
So black the earth
Seven steel blue glints – thrice
Rainbows in prayers for peace

I have always like the idea of "Rainbows in prayers for peace" but I am not sure if it is working yet...let's hope so.

A rainbow of colors from the eyes of someone who views peace for all, done in beautiful color and metaphor.

Sighhh...I have witnessed the beauty, honor & sorrow of a 21~gun salute, my Friend...As General Patton once said, "A soldier is the first to pray for peace." Simple imagery that holds profound meaning for so many...Well done, Poet...Good luck in Z's contest...

I am always fascinated by the way we all interpret things so differently and this poem of yours is no exception. Firstly, you manage to include a realm of colours and offer us images throughout with lines like "so brown the wood and gold the trim" which is a fabulous image of autumn leaves (for me, at least. Well done.
