Just for Today

Lavender skirts around verdant hill
Framing fields of fresh green
The air is still
Between the valley's V
Soft lilac gazes at the frosted peaks
Decorated with snow doilies
The mountain speaks
Of an age gone by
And whispers at the clouds
Cotton in painted sky
Colour mixed on Earth's pallette
Just for today
No sign of the threatening storm laden grey
Just a sure blue
Azure blue
An arms length away

POW you knocked my socks off

Very well done, my only problem is I cannot physically peel these words off the screen and place them neatly on the canvas. Lovely visuals that grabbed my attention to the point I was wanting to experience everything else beyond this scene. I think you need to do a sequel to fill in some of the finer detail so that every one can see what is in the foreground to the scene.

Very beautiful. Its a wonderful disciption of the world that you see. The flow is incredibly soft which compliments what you're trying to create in the readers mind although i might suggest tht you try to even the meter a little. And i'm sure you could use "vee" in line 4, although it might notbe a real word, just to make it easier for the reader to know what it is that you mean.
    thanks for the read Stephanie

There's nothing like nature's beauty, is an inspiration that flows freely.
You have captured this beauty well. A very calming, soothing poem.
    Beautiful....
