I haven't done Haiku forever, but I still love them. I love this one Kyew.

  • And this Haiku indeed gives a feeling of zen .. there is a serenity about it that is lovely.

Beautiful! It portrays so much in so few words. Simple and still definitely gets the point across.

This made me smile, seriously!! I didn't expect it to end so quick but it did in a perfect way.

Thanks for the smile as well as reading my poem "Forget Me Not" and I see what you were trying to convey to me about the syllables and I am taking your suggestion to change the few words around.

ah well, zen, you know, it's for the birds!

speaking of zen, which I know naught of...or maybe more precisely, speaking of birds, my maple tree sprouted about 20 robins over the winter, yes, yes, it did! I looked out my window and there they were, all budded out and new and heralding spring. whew, finally, what a long winter it's been!

    soooo, I called the tree

    the mating tree
where each couple pairs off flying
    where I stand alone

anyway, nature has a way of speaking volumes to our souls. A nice, soft reed(sic) this, wafting gently.

i like this. the simplicity of it. i like how that sort of contradicts with my ideas of zen...how its easier said than done - of course its probably easier done than said beneath the bs of self awareness.

suppose we all take notice of the wind without taking notice of the wind...the now higher, now lower could be self. which is kind of nice to think about.

a comment that makes no sense is better than ten comments that make little sense. atleast i know where i stand - and it aint inbetween!! lol.

    nice stuff. enjoyed.
