Why do you sit wrapped in covers?
Trying to trap the warmth in
Whipped wickets of wonder
Cursed others
Who thought
You’re alone
Cos you’d never fit in
Your room, a temple of china dolls
Like the people you’ve seen in the street
Days, dreamy but distant
Night simply
Rolls into
Changes
Of levels of heat
Sleep with your eyes open
You fell in between
Now people are crazy
You’ve tried running
But maybe
You’re caught
Into
Attempting
Pristine
Colouring in walls with pictures
Friends, that wont walk into the light
Lost lockets from lovers
Hope lingers
If
Time had stilled
Then you’d
Feel alright
I saw you cry the other day
I saw you on your knees
Arched as if to pray
And say, god please
I cant change anymore
Im far too weak
And porcelain stared from the windows
Curtain flickered,
Moved on with there meal
You sat on the pavement
Sobbing in hatred
Of a life
That just
Wont
Become real
In a list
Please tell me what you think

What a pleasant suprise! ;)
Usually, I don't like song lyrics as poetry. They irk me because they seem too simply and unmitigated to me. But this I genuinely like, and has changed my view on the potential of song lyrics of poetry. Great job!
