The unspeakable things you said to me echoed in my ears every day and every night.
And yet, I forgave you the second I heard it from your lips.
Why? Because my love for you has no limits.
Trust can break in an instant, it's true what they say, that it shatters.
It can be built again in time.
Most, don't seem to comprehend that logic.
Do you remember what I told you later on?
"To err is to be human, to forgive is divine".
I know you hate that phrase with every beat of your heart,
but it speaks more truth than any fortune cookie I've ever broken open.
The good times will continue to outweigh the bad and the mistakes we've both made along the way.
You're only as strong as your ability to understand,
and darling, I understood you.

It's the utmost forgiveness between my boyfriend and I. If you want to know what happened, message me. I don't really want to be straightforward about it in a poem.

Very nicely written. 'You're only as strong as your ability to understand' I read those last two lines over a few times...very thought provoking.
