To stay and strive

As I walk
on the road of life
I leave behind me
all my strife

All the pain
will be thrown away
all the joy
here to stay

The devil has no control
although he tries
to make me steal
to make me tell lies

It all ends up
as God planed it
falling into place
bit by bit

Belief in yourself
is a hard deal
when you think every night
will be your last meal
