Lifelike plaster

I know it was wrong
and you knew all along
by the look on my face.
The thoughts won't erase.

The look in her eye,
I wanted to cry!
But nothing I did
could save the poor kid.

Her time had come
sooner than some,
and the church bells rang
as the choir boys sang.

Her mind was gone
and so was the song
the last thing she said
was "I wish I were dead"

Her wish was granted
and the seed was planted
for all of mankind;
for someone to find.

There's a lesson to be learned.

Life is not earned.

it's not gift nor curse,

but which is worse?

Appreciate life
don't take it in strife
because you just don't know
when you'll be down below.

Author notes

Kind of random but it's what I wanted to write. I wanted to write a rhyming poem because I haven't done one in so long. I hope you enjoyed it.

Honestly, FEEDBACK PLEASE!
