Dedicated to my husband of 30 years - who takes me to indescribable places......
Wait patiently for me until dawn awakens,she'll soar the horizon,
her glistening wings shall carry me to my morning shower;
Let the salty mist wash my face, and light wind rinse;
I'll look for you by the sea, to dance in the breeze framed in azure sky;
We'll go for a glorious ride on a wild stallion through sandy hills,
stop to run barefoot, sink our toes into golden grains
to warm and thrill, while we follow the voice of the dove
as she wakes her young with tender coos, leading us through
a peaceful meadow covered in green, sprinkled with a glistening dew
I'll show you on the way, cottages painted in light,
resting on beds of velvet sod, trimmed in cobblestone
dotted with sweet children watched over by angels
sent by God, ready to dream these drowsy boys and girls
of furry puppies and pink dresses hemmed in lace;
As dusk begins to shakes stars and sliver of moon across the sky,
transforming it's appearance, I'll take you to my secret castle,
where soft rose petals blanket my bed, floating on the wind,
surrendering sweet fragrance for us alone,fragrant lavender,
wooed by summer's sigh, drifts in without questioning why
After our fill of love,I'll take you beyond cooled sheets
to the border's end to begin another busy day,
called away from a world I have so blissfully penned,
Yet I know in stormy or calm, paradise is wherever you are.
