Making Love

You told me jokes, taught me
how to wear clothes
and the correct way of looking at a painting.

I sent you poems,
read stories to you
and opened your ears to jazz.

We never once touched.

Author notes

The first poem I've written in a while in a poetic form that has a name. I've been writing in Anglo-Saxon metres, blank verse, and other things; anyhow, this form is called a SEVENLING - http://veenet.value.net/~dbear/apj_sevenling.html - and I offer my thanks to Howard Miller at the Poetry Free-For-All for introducing me to it.

Hope you like it.
