Venture

It is not
idle distraction
When I dare
to venture
into the unknown
Seeking
what my soul must
know
The answers
are without reserve
I have to walk
paths set on
different stones
My
perspective
on life
may be altered
By
the INTENSE calling
of the Father
I've set myself
under
His wings
to taste
the sweetness
of life eternal

A ship in a bottle set sail

Serenity is so sweet yet so dark in its absence. For light comes from within and so is the path ahead. I loved every bit of this write. Such power and wonder into a mind to-which may not be so found as yours. You give hope and light into a retrospect, yet modernly necissary truth.
I feel life is smiling upon you, smile back. =)

    Intensity of Peace

Is exactly what this exquisite piece conveys, darling sister. As you state so well, there is hardly a better or more peaceful place to be than to walk God's path beneath His sheltering wings, other than to be in heaven to bask in His magnificent presence. "Come, Lord Jesus, come!"

Now, I am certain you know this ought to appear in one of the TSaS broadcasts!

    Much love and hugs, SisB♥n

A very deep piece! Our Father in Heaven may lead us into deep waters to learn lessons, it is our faith in him that sustains us to do his will, which is not always what you might anticipate. Well crafted! Really great job on this poem!

Thank you Debbera.. I spell mine Debra. I appreciate your comments. Very true that we do not always venture where we thought we'd go.. Many times, God has a much different plan. ANd yes, faith in HIM and HIS will for our lives.. leads us on many an adventure. Many blessings. Debby

Debbie, I left you a long comment on this and somehow I was shot right off the sight... but I wanted to tell you how beautifully written this was... the part that touched me was "I have to walk paths set on different stones", yes a path uniquely ours. I've learned over the years, as you pen so well in the ending, is surrendering under his wing and putting it in His hands brings such peace... again, a beautiful spiritual piece, and all the best to you dear poet, Annie

I liked it, it kind of made me think that were all on a path into the unknown. Wich may turn good for some but bad for others.

There is no better place to be than under His wings and following His intense calling. Some may think it is a fearful thing, but in truth it is the most peaceful of places to be - the venturing into the unknown.

This is a beautiful poem Debby. I love you lots and lots. - jo
