Candy Cane kisses
Peppermint dreams
Daddy's got a gun
Mommy silently screams.
Santa knocks over the tree
On the floor is shattered glass
He's looking for me
So he can knock me on my ass.
Reindeer pant endlessly
Up on the roof
Slowly pacing; waiting
Right hoof, left hoof, POOF!
That little girl is gone
She is no more
She's not in the kitchen
She's not next door.
Bloody and bitter
She has become
Dead inside
Mind melts; heart numb.
Daddy kisses her
From her head to her toe
Every body likes to pretend
That they don't know.
Cringes mixed with chiffon
Leather and lace
Bruises mixed with love
All over her face.
All grown up now
Is that little one
She kills every man
Says it's all in fun.
Leave them bloody
Right on the bed
Penis in the mouth
Of her daddy and the dead.
Please tell me what you think

I really like this. I have been through the same type of abuse...because he "loved me so much." ya know?

First thing I noticed about this piece is that it instantly grips the reader in a tight hold and does not release until after the very last word. It is a pounding, fast paced read, intense with fantastic metaphors and a harsh sense of an occurrence that is very plausible. I find it to be very evident and growing into a slightly common thing of modern times. It is certainly not foreign to the world anymore, at least. What it kind of reminds me of is the serial killer Aileen Wuornos, a little.
One of the major tragedies of this piece, that really seems to stand out in my perception, is the brutal fact that most people deny or ignore the fact that this inhumane, sick atrocity of the corruption of innocent children does in fact exist, and is simply growing worse, and more and more common. People will gather around when someone’s drowning, even leap in to save the person, but when a child is being abused, everything becomes silent and people just “mind their own business”. It is almost as cruel as the abuse that is being ignored, itself. That was what I seemed to perceive. Either way, very thought provoking piece. It really leaves a mark and image in the mind. Nicely done and well written!

Thank you for your comment, I must admit it's a bit scary being compared [or to even remind you of] Aileen Wuornos. I just threw this together in about five minutes. It's a birthday present to myself actually. I'm getting old and feeling a bit morbid. LOL

wow this is interesting...kinda scarey..and deep..it definately kept me reading..and if it means what i think it does, then people often do tend to pretend they don't know it's going on..there were a lot of lines i really liked, relating it to santa n' the reindeer in all..any particular reason for that? nice write..i really enjoyed

No reason really. Just wanted something that makes people cringe. I thought throwing Santa into the mix may do that. And it does what mean what you think it does. A nasty bit of history and reality thrown in with [maybe] a bit of wishful thinking at times.
