Following the sands of time
In search of a past long forgotten
We walk together
Not sure what we will find
Each mirror detailed of a forgotten past
Resting above the sea of tranquility
Till we find the one to reflect what has been lost
To face that which has scarred the present
The frame so old & delicately trimmed
Frayed even as it holds up in the harsh winds
As we look upon it, a scene unfolds
A dance of sorts, revealing its secrets
Afraid to see what the dance reveals
We must look on
Our future depends on unlocking the past
And finding what has paralyzed the present growth
What secret will unfold?
Only those in front of the mirror can tell…
Let us only hope that what is seen
Can be learned from
And bring a brighter future to the present…
