Where Love Lives

Come to me little one
          with the bruised heart
                  and broken soul.

Let me comfort you
          as a mother would
                  as a mother should.

The world around
          can be so dark
                  can be so cruel.

Come to the nest
          where caring is
                  where love lives.

Let my heart overflow
          and give you strength
                  to heal
                  and grow
                  and to carry on.

Please tell me what you think

I knew you were an Earth Mother!

Thank yo so mouch. I must add you as a favoriet, I have long needed a place of peace and love to go and replenish my strength. One grows tired on the long cold road. The Good Lord saw fit to give me a dark path with a lot of dark folks on that path. It has not been easy, even my muse is Dark. But he did not give me a dark heart, and he always finds a way to send me someone like youto keep my spirit from going dark. Again thank you so much.
    Much much Love
    Nedina

If the world had more comforting and less bruising it would sure be a much better place; but things are what they are and we must do what we must do as you so eloquently speak of. Very good work. Alberto

If only all people would care this way, so much evil in the world would be vanquished. Your heart flows forth and gives comfort to the anguished one. Very well written.

I appreciate this write not only as a mom, but as a grandmother and a person that knows about Jesus and how he cared for people while on earth. If we as parents could only follow that example; especially when we try to discipline, because after all that word means "to teach"
not to beat down or punish.

This is very touching and very beautiful. There is obvious love and care woven into each line. I believe it can apply to many people: mother/child, sister/brother, father/son, husband/wife, friend/friend and so on. That "nest" is where love lives and in that coming home, they can be assured of your love. Beautiful sentiment. Best, Elizabeth

It's nice to see poems that are sweet and caring. I like that you had a positive message to this piece. Very nice. The way you formed it was unusual but nice and the background is soothing and fits nicely with the poem itself.

    Outstanding

I liked the simplicity of this poem. I thought you expressed your feelings with all a mother's love. I liked the sense of giving support and comfort. Also the way you have set out this poem which I thought added to the presentation. Brilliant to read.
