Belief

Simply finding a new belief is to knowing my weakness, growing from a broken home, and reaching to you as a child; screaming with triumph, as I stroll down memory lane. Believing is wonderful, just like the streams of a river swimming free from the fish, and kicking the high leaves, which hand from the tall trees. Dreaming as though I'm free, soaring through the skies as loose as I want to be. In a new light as bright as the sun; I begin to shine, spreading my unbroken wings like a beautiful butterfly, unloosening the breeze, and wondering simple thoughts as to which one of us is truely free. I finally break down and begin to see. Through the light and down to the sea, I am only what I make myself believe!!

Author notes

I wrote this poem, after reading the book, The Secret, which I might add was a very good book! It inspired me to write many poems after reading it. This one was my favorite and I think it goes great with what you are looking for. It might not make much sense, but to me it makes perfectly enough sense. I tried to give a picture/image of what I was writing about, then in the end, I threw in the punchline. I and you can only make ourselves what we believe we are or can be. Thanks for reading and considering me as your winner, now I hope I am in the winners circle. Or I at least hope that this was inspiring enough for you to read it over and over again. With my points, I will also be entering a contest for all you out there. So stop by my page if I am the winner, so you can check out my contest. Thanks again!! Good luck with choosing a winner

This is beauiful. I loved it. YES I know what you mean. I keep reminding myself of that and you did a great job putting it into coherent words. The only thing is it's a little hard to read. You might want to play with the spacing.
