Rockets strapped to the back, we thought we were so cool
Disregarding laws of physics, plans born on a barstool.
Our car all modded and ready to go
We started out - forget going slow
Building speed the rockets kicked in
Up, up and away - how lucky would we have been
As it was we just flipped over
How we weren't killed - oh what a wonder
Now hanging here out of telephone wires
We've learned to follow our tamer desires

I love love love the title!
I suppose, yeah, ideas like this really are formed on a bar stool.
Excellent flow, rhyme and moral to the story. I laughed myself stupid. Heh.
Hope you did well in the contest. Thanks for sharing.

I read this without seeing the picture and really liked it. After looking at the pic though it is even better. Nice job.

Nasa Space center we have achieved low earth orbit, Over. LOL, Strap a rocket to a car and as we have seen before they don't seem to get very far. Add a mix of alcohol and lucky things don't blow up on us.
Thank you for your entry into the contest.
Be well and be blessed,

MOuser
