You've Got Some Splainin' To Do

Driving along, not a thought in my head
It’s a wonder I didn’t end up dead
Imagine my surprise when I realized
My car’s in the air! I can’t believe my eyes!
I drank one too many, now that’s for sure
But you know, this wasn’t in the brochure!
I never thought I’d end up like this
Things have really gone amiss.
Now thinking of last night, all the fun I had
Will it be worth it when I explain this to dad?

Reminds me of a Simpsons episode when Homer & Marge got way fucked up plastered and homer was trying to think something and noticed he was upside down in a ditch
so is this a true story ?

My dad...would probably be pretty kewl. Sure he'd yell but he'd get over it. Just like he didn't freak when I was learning to drive and I sorta tried to make a turn going like 45mph and went right into a little ditch instead Mom is the one I'd probably have to worry about, lol. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.

Great rhyming, pretty cool and simple poem. Yet good meaning. It seems serious at first yet fun in middle and serious at end again. I think its pretty cool.

    Gold stars for you,

"LUCY! You got some 'splaining to do." LOL. Saw the title and couldn't help but remember Ricky saying that to her all the time. Well the trip and the fun sounded good, just the consequences may be somewhat stiff to deal with.
Very good impression of the image. Thanks for entering into the contest.
    Be well and be blessed,
