I want to be angry like Adam is angry.
Adam who does not worry about his tirades but shouts living room curses
and does not say I'm sorry but hell and damn and shit
driven by adrenaline
in collusion with Satan
and who no matter what how we may pray
keeps spouting profanities.
Who will not take the correction or change himself
will not alter his opinions or demands
caring not for political correctness will shout his displeasure
with unruly children, corrupt politics and senseless war.
And will not be silenced
even when he is lost on the edge of too far
like a toddler tantruming feet and fists against an unforgiving floor
who cannot throw off the monster his rage becomes
but paces and pukes up vile language.
Who's not angry but mad,
mad at the nectar of epinephrine
mad like the hornet tattoo etched into his upper back
daring something to knock it or the chip off his shoulder.

Wow. This is a great poem that you have going on in here. I like it.
The way that you worded it and everything is very open and hanging out there. Maybe like you just let the words fall from your lips as they will, just like your Adam. I love how I got a very clear picture of him and a little of yourself at the very same time. This is great stuff!

adam, adam, adam! The first thing I noticed was your screenname! after that the poem just seemed to reinterate what you had already put out there for yourself. I liked your creativity in writing this poem. I thought that your talent as a writer was obvious and truly heartfelt. You should be very proud of yourself. I think you might be selling yourself a little bit short in the adoption of a name like Angry Adam...lighten up and watch the world around you respond! you have the talent....you are on to something great for yourself...give in to it! allow the light to shine! I'll be back soon to read more...thank you for your art today! peace always in all ways, kp
