There once was a girl
who had a magic mirror.
she had inherited it
from her grandmother.
And every morning she went
through the same routine.
"Mirror, mirror on the wall
who is the fairest of them all?"
"Not you! Not you!"
the mirror would scream,
showing the reflection of another
"It is she! It is she!"
The girl would always storm of,
unhappy with what it had said.
And unhappy with what it showed her,
it was always the same girl.
Who looked like 'Barbie', plastic,
with her face caked in make-up.

One morning, she went through
that same routine again
"Mirror, mirror on the wall
who is the fairest of them all?"
"Not you! Not you!"
it screamed again,
showing the reflection of 'Barbie'
"It is she! It is she!"
The girl snapped,
tired of getting the same answer.
For once she wanted to be
the fairest of them all.
For once she wanted to see
her own reflection in the mirror.
In anger she grabbed the mirror
that still showed the image of 'Barbie',
screaming "Not you! Not you!"
"It is she! It is she!"
She threw the mirror to the floor,
shards flew every where,
cutting at her flesh.
Manic laughter echoed in her ears
and she fell to the floor, finally beaten,
screaming,
"ITS NOT ME! ITS NOT ME!
IT IS SHE! IT IS SHE!"

I really LOVED the ending here. It is kind of sad too, because so many people these days are victims of vanity. They feel they are nothing without good looks. Thanks for entering and good luck

This reminds me very much of "Everybody's Fool" by Evanescence. I highly recommend you check that video out... It's amazing, and it's about the character's own feelings of worthlessness and inferiority. I agree with the others... Well done, and good luck!
