Nature's Blessings

Alongside the babbling brook
a squirrel frolics
darting to and fro

In the distance there is the splashing sound
made by water as it flows over rocks
giving rise to a picturesque waterfall

Up above the sun shines brightly
whilst a flock of geese fly so high
Oh, what a peaceful place this is

A family picnicking just up stream
watches a small sail boat drift upon the water
as ducks feed among the reeds

Annabell and Danny play hide and seek
among the trees
whilst baby Tommy slumbers in his mother's arms

Lovers walk arm in arm
stopping now and then to steal a kiss
Oh, what a peaceful place this is

It is so hard to believe that such a place exists
as it is only half an hour drive
to the hustle and bustle of city life

We are so blessed with nature's best
but how often can we not see
what is right before our eyes

Please take the time to look about
and not just run around in circles
and see what a peaceful place our world can be

Life is there to enjoy
so venture out and take a rest
and look at what mother nature freely gives us

There is no need to mope and weep
when we have visions such as this
given to us by God above

keep
forever
