Obsession some would call it
Addiction so simply destructive
‘Love’ so charmingly blind
Melting at touch to soft lips
Savouring taste
Flicker of lashes
Eyes close
Turn to it each time
It’s utter subjection
Taking control
Over your weakened mind
Never can it replace love
Deprived of it as you may think
Darling don’t fool yourself
Not with a momentary high
Savouring taste
Flicker of lashes
Eyes close
You don’t feel so well now
Guilt overcomes you
Addiction to cure depression
[Chocolate]
Did it work?
For a few minutes yes
For a lifetime …
No.

Very different and clever write.
I enjoyed the stlye and overall layout of the poem, it wasn't tedious and over the top, however it was un-educated cliche poetry.
The words and topic chosen also made me read through with interest until the very end.
Was a very good poem.

A great piece of poetry. I feel it could be interpreted on two different levels - either literally about chocolate or metaphorical of love. Very interesting.
