How Puzzled the Response
Faint tone, and brightly how the window shone
Pleasant greeting beckoned my response
And hints that maybe I am not alone
The chatter amongst those we work with bemoan
The pressures we now find ourselves ensconced,
But still—faint tone, and bright the window shone
Prefer to stay within my safety cone,
And though you may await my own response,
Which hints that maybe I am not alone
when we chat. Our talks are comical in tone,
relaxed, without pressures so ensconced,
Enjoy faint tone, and bright the window shone
But I don’t yet know whether I should hone
Our friendship into something that could hance,
While risking hints that maybe I’m alone
So regardless of the feelings I condone,
Meanwhile I’ll just enjoy this renaissance,
Faint tone, and brightly how the window shone,
And hints that maybe I am not alone.
