No Consolation (You Knew)
The plot was elaborate,
Hidden in intrigue –
A character,
A hint of conflict,
An air of mystery
And I was scared
I didn’t understand
So I turned to you
You, her best friend
I confronted you
Interrogated you
Appealed to you
But you didn’t know
During months of deception
The story weaved
Intertwining layers
Sewn together with fibs
Little white lies
Crawling from the garbage like maggots
Growing to take full flight
And breed again
In the swarm of doubt
I felt helpless
So I turned to you
You, her best friend
I begged you
But you didn’t know
At the funeral
I nodded
You remember?
I acknowledged you,
You, her best friend
Because I’d read the diaries
I owned the script
I understood the plot
Yes, you knew
Because you suffer from it too
I know,
But sadly,
It’s no consolation

I don't get it...
This basically seems like theres a girl upset about something and kills herself, her best friend knew about it and is also upset and gonna kill herself and basically now you know what it is and try and make her feel better but it don't work? :S
It's intriguing, I'll admit that.
Good luck in the contest
