one should not concentrate soley
on the fullness of belly to be felt
but taste the flavours of the day fully
to let the day perculate in perhaps...

So many fortunes we get in one cookie - usually about three - which one do you pick? Liked the play on words with this fortune, witty and quite the play on words here.

i love the word play, that was a good idea for a contest, and you did a great job with the prompt...
fortune cookies scare me lol, i just got one that told me i would have a wonderful wife, and it scared my boyfriend more than it did me. lol -
I really like the "fortune cookie" tone this poem takes in its reading. "Percolate" as in coffee and also to what's my own "breakfast" every morning really was a clever closing to this poem...

I have never thought of it in this way before, I am too busy being thankful enough to see another breakfast... lol We all have things to be thankful for, those things are just different from one person to the next... brilliant write here
